West Texas my dearest
One thing that I need to do more of is use my camera. Lately I have gotten super busy and have been neglecting one of my passions which is photography. So this is my goal for the rest of the year. Once a week I will post a new photo and kind of force myself to not neglect my passion. It’s funny because sometimes if you don’t consciously cultivate and grow your passion it will be taken over by other things and forgotten about. So this is a goal for myself! Here is a shot I took recently while I have been hack home in West Texas. This reminds me of home simply because I spent countless hours walking and following the telephone and power lines while watching the sunset when I was a child. I always had hopes that if I walked far enough I would leave all of my problems behind. Ironically it is all of those problems that actually made me who I am. I wouldn’t trade those obstacles in my life for anything. Recently I went and walked a dirt road and followed the power lines, but not in hopes of leaving my past or current problems. It was in remembrance of where and what I came from. It was a reminder of what molded and shaped me.

That’s beautiful Baron. It’s so cool that you were able to change the negative experiences in your life into positive ones.
Thank you!
Beautiful Baron! Every morning that the sky isn’t cloudy I take a photo of the sunrise while I’m sitting in traffic. Paintings from God (one of his many talents!) It’s a great way to start the morning and share a moment with my family when I post it. Keep those photos coming!
Beautiful shot.
Great shot! I, too, love photography and tend to get lazy about getting out and taking pictures. Maybe I will follow your lead and try to do more picture-taking this year.
I totally agree with you in regards to cultivating your passions in life. I recently begin working on reaching my goal of someday becoming a Director of Player Development in the National Football League. I am in the process of studying for the GRE exam so that I can get into graduate school and obtain my masters degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Sports Administration. It is through reading your blog today that I have been energized more to focus on my goal. Thank you.
Thats awesome! Go get it!!!
Gorgeous picture Baron. That’s one thing about West Texas/Midland-we have beautiful sunsets.
